Department's Vision, Mission, Objectives,Goals & Implementation Strategy


  • Vision Statement:
    Maintain its position as one of the leading computing institution in Pakistan through offering strong, quality-oriented, up-to-dated, nationally and internationally recognized academic & professional degree programs and state-of-the -art research facilities for students, faculty and researchers who are recognized amongst the best in the country.
  • Mission Statement:
    Through excellence in computing education and research, produce computing professionals of great character, competence, vision and drive to build the nation and serve the global community to bring peace & prosperity.
  • Objectives:
    Devise and implement best academic practices to build a knowledge based learning community that fosters professional as well as personal growth of students for their successful careers in computing professions through realizing the importance of Intellectual capital in the 21stcentury knowledge economy.
  • Furthermore, the Department will:

    • 1. Adapt curriculum and pedagogy to complement the evolution of computing profession,
    • 2. Accommodate the varied learning styles of a diverse student population,
    • 3. Recognize and support the application of research in the computing and other emerging field,
    • 4. Recognize and support the underlying scholarship and creativity associated with the development of curriculum, educational software, and innovative approaches to teaching.
  • Goals
    • To offer high quality computing education through adopting effective pedagogy and up-to-date curriculum that meets the needs and demands of the local and global employment markets, and fulfill the criteria of national and international accreditation bodies.
    • To promote the realization of Intellectual capital among students and faculty and promote their skills of scientific inquiry, personal initiative, intellectual curiosity, and integrity to conduct applied research of high quality, influence, visibility, and utility.
    • To seek relationships with industry, government, and alumni to supplement national efforts for self-reliance in Science and Technology.
    • To strengthen national economy through producing high-quality Computing professionals who can earn foreign exchange for the country from the global economy.
    • To maintain a high level of interaction between students and faculty for providing individual guidance to students in their course planning and their careers.
  • Implementation Stratigy Our implementation strategy will follow a quality assurance mechanism based on following seven basic questions:
    1.What is the purpose of the curriculum?
    2.What are the objectives of the curriculum?
    3.How are the learning experiences to be selected and organized?
    4.What are the objectives of the course?
    5.What resources are to be employed, and how are time and space to be used?
    6.What is the design of the learning activities?
    7.How is the curriculum to be evaluated?
